Dean's Advisory Board Club Leader Dinner
DAB hosted a dinner roundtable with club leaders across campus to discuss Penn's recruitment climate. In collaboration with Dean Peter Struck, students gathered to share their clubs' processes and brainstorm ways to create a more inclusive and accessible experience for first-years navigating the application season.
DAB Club Culture Data Surveying
DAB Members set up tables in Hill and Quad to gather student perspectives on club culture at Penn. The survey aimed to collect data on recruitment experiences and campus inclusion, informing future advocacy efforts to improve the first-year experience across the College of Arts and Sciences.

Student Priorities Data Collection and Presentation
DAB collected and analyzed data on student priorities both in the classroom and across campus life, presenting findings to all undergraduate department chairs in the College of Arts and Sciences. This initiative aimed to ensure student voices directly inform departmental decision-making and curricular planning, bridging the gap between student needs and faculty leadership.

College Curriculum Redesign Committee
DAB members served on committees dedicated to rewriting the College curriculum, bringing student perspectives to discussions about academic requirements and course structures. Through this collaborative work with faculty and administrators, students helped shape the future of undergraduate education at Penn, ensuring reforms reflect both academic rigor and student experience.
AI Policy Research and Recommendations
DAB conducted research on artificial intelligence policy implications for Penn's academic community, examining how AI tools affect learning, academic integrity, and classroom dynamics. The initiative gathered student perspectives and presented findings to the Committee on Undergraduate Education, contributing to discussions about responsible AI integration in higher education.

Student Perspectives on Club Culture Interviews
Through conversations with upperclassmen and freshmen, DAB explored how Penn's intense club recruitment season shapes student experiences and mental health. The interviews revealed consistent patterns of stress during applications, eventual shifts from prestige-seeking to community-building, and the emotional toll of rejection on first-years. These student insights informed DAB's advocacy work toward fostering a healthier, more inclusive club culture across campus.
